Women Who Cowork Crowdfunding Campaign

Original content taken from the Women Who Cowork YouTube video details.

Women Who Cowork is a membership platform for femme-identified coworking space operators around the world. Our mission is to amplify the coworking movement by providing women with support, resources and mentorship.

We are a community for the community builders.

Launching a coworking space is daunting, managing a coworking community can be isolating for everyone. Yet women face unique roadblocks in business. In fact, today 86% of the world’s coworking employees are women, while only 38% of spaces are women-owned!

We recognized this gender gap and decided we had to create a solution. We envisioned a place where femme identified coworking owners and operators could gather in a supportive community of peers and in 3 short years Women Who Cowork has grown from a blog post to a thriving community of 800+ femme identified founders and operators across the globe. We hold retreats, meetups and online events, all designed to support our growing coworking movement from the unique perspective of being a woman in business.

This year, we launched an online community platform which connects the world to a map of women-owned spaces across the globe and surfaces the women leading those spaces through unique founder profiles. We currently have 114 spaces listed and more are joining every day. The demand is greater than we can support with our current resources. Our members currently receive support through our community of peers and individual coaching and consulting from us.

So now we must level up the platform and build an online forum, more extensive founder profiles and provide more services to our women including, access to funding, a women-owned certification, local chapter tool kit and support, workshops and programming focused on financial education, negotiation and the business knowledge and tools that are traditionally not taught to women.

Laura and Iris have been bootstrapping Women Who Cowork for 3 years, and now we need funding to take this to the next level and meet the needs of our rapidly growing community. We decided to work with iFundWomen because we believe in creating a financial model that is inclusive and circular and that aligns with our core values of community.

Please support us as we build a movement to support women owned businesses, because when you support a women owned-coworking space, you support her entire community and push the needle forward towards true gender equity in business.
