It started with a love for cats. How do you protect your cat (and your family) during a wildfire? There is an app for that. RoboticsCats from Hong Kong created an app for smartphones that uses AI to detect wildfires that are as far as 1.4 miles away. ReportFires app helps users to make informed and timely responses to wildfires. It helps users to detect nearby wildfire using AI smoke detection, get notification of wildfires in your area, and report wildfire quickly by clicking on a map. RoboticsCats is presenting on November 4 at the Santa Cruz Works New Tech. Here is a sneak peek at their new app: ReportFires. And, watch the video animation for how to save your cat!

Key benefits

FAST & ACCURATE DUAL-SENSOR

  • Our LWIR detection is fast (as small as 2 m2 flame at 5 km).

  • Accurately detect fire occurrence by double-detection.

  • Our patented technology accurately determines fire location.

  • Work reliably in tough environments (dark, light polluted, hazy, windy & hilly).

AUTOMATIC & EFFICIENT AI RECOGNITION

  • Always-on Automatic AI detection. No delay nor tiredness.

  • Self-improving machine learning system analyses raw images on the edge

  • Large coverage (70k Ha per robot) and minimal manual operation.

  • More manpower-efficient, energy-efficient, and carbon-friendly than watchtowers and aerial fire patrol.

INTUITIVE & VERSATILE MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

  • Easy-to-use GUI with 2D/3D maps. Supports cross platforms.

  • Situational awareness with real-time video & panoramic image.

  • Supports visualization of 3rd party data via standard API.

  • Timestamped GIS-referenced fire records for post-event forensic and risk mitigation planning.
