Surfer's Path Event Series To Donate to Storm and Flood Disaster Fund

Content by Michelle Bradley

We invite you to take part in the Surfer's Path Event Series made up of three run/walk events that travel the scenic coastline of Santa Cruz County. The series includes the Surfer's Path 10k/5k taking place on February 26, the Surfer's Path Half Marathon on May 21, and the Wahine 10k/6k taking place on October 26. All of the races travel along the majestic Santa Cruz County coastline, passing world-famous surf breaks while enjoying amazing views of the Monterey Bay. All participants receive surfboard medals, a surf-inspired event shirt, and a beachfront finisher celebration.

On Sunday, February 26, we kick off the 2023 series with the Surfer's Path 10k/5k. This event begins at 8 am on 41st Avenue near the coast. Athletes head toward the famous surf spot at the hook and then continue north along the coast. The 5k will turn around just past Pleasure Point and the 10k will turn around at Twin Lakes Beach. All athletes then follow our beautiful coastline and finish in Capitola Village.

For each athlete that signs up between now and January 31st, we will be donating $10 to the Storm and Flood Disaster Fund sponsored by the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County. For more information, and to register for the Surfer's Path 10k/5k, visit: https://www.runsurferspath.com/5k-10k/10k

Come run and walk with us! We are also looking for a community sponsor that can help us not only grow our events but make them more spectacular for all our participants. Please contact Michelle Bradley: movingwithmichelle@gmail.com
