EVEN Recharge setup at Zero Emissions Showcase

California Air Resources Board (CARB) and CALSTART hosted the first Zero Emission Truck and Off Road Showcase at Fresno State's Save Mart Center on June 21. Santa Cruz Accelerates member EVEN Recharge made the first public appearance of their Mobile EV Charging Hub, the first environmentally sustainable mobile off-grid solution for EV charging infrastructure. The Hub integrates Level 2 or DC fast chargers, over 100kWh of battery storage, solar panels and media display into a mobile solution that includes a hydraulic lift system that can be easily and rapidly deployed. It is an ideal solution for areas where grid power is inadequate or not readily available to power EV chargers which is often the case in agricultural and other industrial operations.

In March, the EPA approved California's plan to require half of new heavy duty trucks to be zero emissions by 2035. This event featured over thirty vendors of electric powered trucks, agricultural and off road equipment and charging infrastructure. Attendees were able to test ride over 40 models of equipment from off road utility to Class A trucks. The conversion to electric is well underway, many in attendance are planning how to migrate their equipment fleets and equipment to electric. That conversion will require novel solutions for charging this new class of equipment. EVEN Recharge is developing sustainable, clean energy, off grid energy hubs to meet this demand.

The EVEN Recharge Hub as shown at the Zero Emission Showcase included two Level 2 chargers, an outdoor media display, and for the event two slushy machines to refresh the attendees on a warm summer day, all powered from the Hub's battery supply. This exhibited how multiple revenue streams can be achieved in addition to EV charging capabilities.

There was acute interest in the adaptability of the EVEN Recharge solution at the show. Joseph Kwong, Founder and CEO of EVEN Recharge was on hand to hear the needs from a wide sector of industrial users.
